Our home, Hutton Lodge, is a 19th century ex-school house on the picturesque Solway Firth just across the border from England.

Positioned in the hamlet of Bankend on the Solway Heritage Trail near the WWT and Caerlaverock Nature Reserve, Crichton Business Park, Dumfries and Galloway College and University of the West of Scotland campus, our home offers a peaceful, comfortable retreat for guests on holiday as well as on business.

Your hosts, Lynn and Kevin assure you of a warm welcome and look forward to help make your stay cosy and pleasant in a relaxed, country environment just a few minutes drive from central Dumfries.

Day snacks are available at Caerlaverock Castle and the Wetlands Wildfowl Trust (approximately 2 miles from our home).

Evening meals can be taken at the Nith Hotel (www.nithhotel.co.uk) in Glencaple village; the Swan Inn at Kingholm Quay (www.theswandumfries.co.uk), or at numerous restaurants in Dumfries.

No pets (please see Terms & Conditions).
